This weekend is full of Halloween events around the neighborhood, with Sunday trick-or-treating happening throughout Ballard and beyond.
Below is a map of neighborhood trick-or-treating. Along with the usual parade through neighborhoods, downtown Ballard trick-or-treating is back for another year with businesses planning on handing out candy from 3 to 5 p.m.
Other events in Ballard include a dog costume party at Peddler Brewing Company; “Howl-o-Ween” will be happening on Oct. 31 starting at 2 p.m. There will also be a pet parade happening on Oct. 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Crown Hill; visit the Crown Hill Village website for more details.
On Saturday, Outbound Herbivore is hosting Truck or Treat with a few vegan-friendly restaurants from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be Halloween-themed vegan doughnuts and cookie butter hot chocolate from Dough Joy, and other vegan spots including Cycle Dogs, El Borracho and Shelter Lounge will have food and drink specials along with vegan candy at the door for trick-or-treaters on Sunday.
Keep in mind that several Ballard blocks may be closed on Sunday as part of the Trick or Streets program.
