A new indoor cycling studio has opened in downtown Ballard.
Founder Stacy Vinge opened The Cycle Sanctuary alongside her husband Jon earlier this month at 2420 NW Market St. in the former Burn Cycle Studio.
Vinge, who used to work as a teacher and staff developer, is now a cycle instructor, nutrition coach, pilates instructor, and strength and flexibility coach. The studio has a number of spin classes and a few HIIT, stretch/core, and bootcamp classes throughout the week. They also offer nutrition coaching and personal training.
“I opened The Cycle Sanctuary, so I could offer a welcoming space for all levels to come together to support and motivate each other through tough workouts,” Vinge tells My Ballard. “I created a space that has a spa-like feel as noted by the comfortable living room lounge area for members to relax and spend time together as well as the locker rooms that are fully equipped with all the products one could need to get ready for work after a sweaty workout.”
Vinge says the cycle studio has “27 bikes, a state-of-the-art sound system, immersive lighting, and real-time racing leaderboard technology.”
The studio is having a grand opening event this Saturday, April 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a taco truck on-site and a margarita machine to celebrate.
