The Ballard Library has returned to its pre-pandemic hours, along with most Seattle Public Library branches.
The Ballard branch’s new hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Lynn Miller from the Ballard Library says the Seattle library system has received thousands of new books over the last two years, including many new “Peak Picks,” which is a no-holds collection of bestsellers and newly published fiction, non-fiction, and seasonal cookbooks.
The Ballard branch is also celebrating Record Store Day to display the “rare and hidden gem” of Central Library’s LP collection and books about vinyl records and collecting.
Miller also reminds patrons that the Seattle Public Library system eliminated overdue fines in January 2020.
At the Ballard branch, computers are once again available for public use with limited free printing and copying, and the parking garage is open during normal library operating hours.
