After nearly four years of planning, a 5-story apartment building at 7705 15th Ave NW has been given the green light for construction.
The Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections (SDCI) has approved the apartment project, which includes 80 small efficiency dwelling units, one live-work unit, and ground-level retail. No parking is in the plans.
The architect for the project is Cone Architecture.
The site location is on three parcels which used to include one two-story multifamily residential structure built in 1960, a single-family residents built in 1925, and one-story commercial structure built in 1947. The buildings have all been demolished.
The project has morphed over the years; back in 2019, the project was for two buildings: One 5-story, 60-unit apartment building, and another 4-story, 42-unit building next door. Plans changed in 2020 to include just one apartment building, and the current plans still reflect that change.
