The City has started on a number of renovations at Gas Works Park, including building a new comfort station and improving ADA features to several areas of the park.
Earlier this month, Seattle Parks and Recreation closed the east entrance of Gas Works Park, the comfort station, and a portion of the parking lot to begin construction.
Seattle Parks will replace the comfort station/restroom facility with a new accessible all-gender facility that meets ADA standards. During construction, port-a-potties will be available for the public. The parks department expects to open the new comfort station early summer 2023.
Along with the comfort station replacement, Seattle Parks will also create a new food truck location, and install a new plaza, seating wall, and ADA parking stalls.
