There will be a town hall tonight (Dec. 14) at Green Lake Community Center for District 6 residents.
Councilmember Dan Strauss is hosting the town hall from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., which will be a “community-centered event” where participants will be able to ask Strauss questions “in their own words on any topic of their choice.” Strauss also plans to discuss funding public safety, addressing homelessness, the 2023 budget, and other district-specific topics.
“Connecting with District 6 residents is one of my favorite parts of being your City Councilmember which is why I work from my D6 District Office, host weekly D6 Office Hours, and regular town halls,” Strauss said in a statement about the town hall.
“I was planning on holding a town hall in November but had to reschedule because I needed to address the revenue forecast resulting in an additional $82 million budget gap on top of the existing $141 million shortfall.”
The event is open to the public, and RSVPing is encouraged.
