Sheets of ice are covering most Seattle roads today, making driving difficult across the city.
We’ve heard multiple reports of extremely dangerous road conditions, prompting many to avoid going out until conditions improve. Even the sidewalks are covered in a sheet of ice—exercise caution if you’re venturing out.
While the freezing rain may have subsided, temperatures won’t rise above freezing until around this afternoon in many places, according to the NWS.
If you do have to venture out, be sure to dress warmly and wear spikes, if you have them.
