Old Stove Brewing Company to take over former Lagunitas location in Ballard

Old Stove Brewing Company is making moves to take over the building that was once home to Lagunitas Brewing and Hilliard’s Beer in Ballard.

Lagunitas closed its Ballard taproom at 1550 NW 49th St in January 2023 after a six-year run in Ballard. Before that, Hilliard’s Beer operated in the space before Odin Brewing acquired Hilliard’s in 2016.

Old Stove Brewing co-founders Chris Moore and Brian Stan opened their first location at Pike Place Market in 2016. They also have a spot in Queen Anne at 600 W. Nickerson St. Now, they’re hopping the Ship Canal to set up among the Ballard brewers.

According to their liquor license application, Old Stove is planning to sell cocktails, wine, and growlers from their new location in Ballard.

We’ve reached out to Old Stove to learn more and will update you with any new information about their opening.
