Pop-up shop Seedlings Vegan Provisions coming to Ballard

A new vegan shop will be popping up around Ballard and Fremont this month.

Ballardite Stephanie Riker is the founder of Seedlings Vegan Provisions. She told My Ballard that she specializes in plant-based cheeses and meats.

“We know that good plant-based cheeses and meats exist – they are just hard to come by sometimes!” Riker said. She said the idea for the vegan shop came up when she opted for a career change after working in education for several years.

“I was brainstorming ideas for my next career move, and my family and I came up with this idea of ‘vegan cheesemonger’ on a whim,” Riker said. “Well, the idea stuck! It took some time and lots of work behind the scenes, but we are finally ready to bring the idea to life. I did not ever picture myself as an entrepreneur so this has been an exciting and scary process.”

Riker’s first three pop-up events are in August:

  • August 6 and 12: The Ballard Collective (1766 NW Market St)
  • August 19: Molly’s Bottle Shop (6406 32nd Ave NW)
  • August 20: Peace Love and Happiness Club (3427 Fremont Pl N)
