New Japanese restaurant coming to 15th Ave NW

It appears a Japanese restaurant is moving into the former Watson’s Counter location at 6201 15th Ave NW.

Watson’s Counter moved to a new location at 6420 24th Ave NW in May. The restaurant space they vacated has been empty since then, but signs on the windows suggest it will be home to a new sushi place.

My Ballard reader Andrew sent us the above photo of the corner restaurant with signs that read “Sushi and Japanese Restaurant.”

No word yet on the name of the new place or when it will open, but we’ll update you with more information when we know more.
