Suzuki Institute of Seattle to hold its first-ever faculty concert to raise money for programming

The music school Suzuki Institute will hold its first-ever faculty concert this Saturday, Sept. 30.

The Suzuki Institute of Seattle‘s Faculty Fundraiser Concert and Silent Auction is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, with the silent auction starting at 4:30 p.m. The institute operates out of Our Redeemer’s Church (2400 NW 85th St).

“As you may or may not be aware, tuition for the school year does not cover the rising expenses of the school,” the event information reads. “In an attempt to bridge that gap, we are asking families who are able to help the school continue its great work of educating and enriching our children’s lives through music.”

The concert will include “a mix of your favorite Suzuki tunes and chamber music” and will feature instructors Jeanne Drumm, Rose Hashimoto, Michael King, Kevin Leiferman, Hilary Lim, and Kristina Turner.

Admission is by donation, with a suggested ticket price of $30.
