The local outdoor store Ascent Outdoors is leaving Ballard.
Ascent Outdoors changed hands in 2019 when Sandeep Nain purchased the store from the original owner Solon Scott. Ascent Outdoors, previously known as Second Ascent, has been in the same location at 5209 Ballard Ave NW since 2001.
But now, they’re packing up to move to Interbay.
Ascent Outdoors sales associate Kayli told My Ballard that Ascent Outdoors will be joining the shopping area where Alpine Hut operates on 15th Ave W.
The store sent an email out to customers saying the new location will be larger and have better parking options.
They haven’t set a closing date or reopening date yet, but we’ll update you with more information when we learn more.
