The outdoor store Ascent Outdoors announced it will be opening its new Interbay location in early January.
Ascent Outdoors, which for 22 years has operated on Ballard Ave, will be opening its new store at 2201 15th Ave W. It will have on-site parking, more retail space, gear rentals, and a full-service ski shop.
The Ballard location will remain open until at least Jan. 20 (closing fully at the end of the month), but will be closed on Jan. 9 at staff complete the move to Interbay. The Ballard store will have a moving sale with closeout prices from 40% to 50% off on backpacking gear, camping equipment, apparel, and footwear.
Ascent Outdoors will celebrate its grand opening party on Feb. 16 with raffles, giveaways, demos, food, and drinks.
