Ballard FC to kick off 2024 season on May 24

Ballard FC’s 2024 season is getting underway this month.

Ballard FC is hosting eight matches at Seattle’s Memorial Stadium this year, including the home opener against Midlakes United FC from Bellevue on Friday, May 24 at 7 p.m.

Season tickets are still on sale—they’ve already sold 1,200 season tickets for this season.

There are three new Washington teams in the US League Two’s Northwest Division: West Seattle Junction FC, Midlakes United FC, and Tacoma Stars.

“We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming season,” Ballard FC Co-Founder and President, Sam Zisette said in a statement. Ballard FC is coming off an amazing 2023 season, where they earned the title of USL2 champions.

“With over 1,200 season ticket holders, 16 players returning from last season, and a new and exciting coaching staff, there is a significant level of buzz around our championship-defending season. We’re also thrilled about the opportunity to be one of the last groups to play at historic Memorial Stadium before it changes forever. Our roster is looking strong and we’re confident we have another championship-caliber program”

On match days, gates at Memorial Stadium will open 90 minutes before kick-off.

New this year, Ballard FC is offering a shuttle from Reuben’s Brews Taproom in Ballard to Memorial Stadium and back for each home match.

The 2024 roster features 16 returners from the 2023 championship season.
