Seattle Parks issues warning for bacteria at Golden Gardens Beach

There’s a warning in place for high bacteria levels at Golden Gardens Beach.

Seattle Parks and Recreation issued a warning for Golden Gardens, saying bacteria levels have exceeded health standards and that contact with this water may cause illness.

SPR closed the beaches in Seattle for bacteria levels:

  • Madrona Beach
  • Matthews Beaches
  • Madison Beach

They say swimming in these areas could make you sick.

You can keep an eye on bacteria levels at local swimming beaches by checking out King County’s Swimming Beach Monitoring web page.
