The Ballard Playfield (2644 NW 60th St.) is about to get some upgrades.
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) says the Ballard Playfield renovations will start July 29. They’ll be addressing drainage, irrigation, and natural turf restoration. SPR says the project will also convert the ballfield infields to synthetic turf.
Other recent work to the playfield included new lighting, which was installed two years ago.
The parks department expects the Ballard Playfield to be reopened by spring 2025.
