Single Hill Commons opens tomorrow in Ballard in former Outpouring Bottle Shop

There’s a new brewery in town: Single Hill Brewing is opening Aug. 13 at 6400 24th Ave NW.

Single Hill is a Yakima-based brewery—the taproom in Ballard will be its first location outside of Yakima. Along with their beer, they’ll be selling wine, guest beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Single Hill is taking over the spot that was home to Outpouring Bottle Shop for three years. Outpouring closed its doors in May.

The new spot is called Single Hill Commons. Andrew Pytel, director of sales and marketing for Single Hill, says they’ll be releasing new beers every month, which will be available both on tap and in cans. They’ll have a small menu of snacks as well, including soft pretzels, a cheese board, and tinned fish.

“We know that the modern craft beer drinker likes options. They’re keeping an eye out for the newest releases every time they go out,” Pytel said in a statement about the opening. Each month, Single Hill releases multiple IPAs, a fruited sour ale, a lager, and a rotating list of other beer styles.

“We’re so very excited to bring Single Hill to Seattle, and Single Hill is an organization all about community,” Pytel said. “The opportunity to share more of our beer in a dedicated space that we’re curating is wonderful. That said, building a community around a tavern isn’t as simple as it used to be. A group of friends going out for a drink won’t all be drinking beer, so we’re making sure that we can take care of those who are gluten-free, or sober, without it feeling like an afterthought.”

Single Hill Commons is opening at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The taproom is 21+.
