This weekend’s scheduled Ballard Bridge closure for maintenance has been cancelled due to weather.
The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) had planned to close the bridge this weekend, Sept. 13-16, for its planned construction work to replace worn expansion joints has been postponed due to excessive rain in the forecast.
SDOT has shifted the scheduled closures to the following weekends, when lane closures may begin as soon as 7 p.m. on Fridays and will reopen by about 5 a.m. on Mondays.
