The scheduled Ballard Bridge closure has been canceled for this weekend (Oct 4-7) and the bridge will remain fully open.
The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) said this weekend’s closure is no longer necessary—there will only be two more full-weekend closures to finalize the work. (See calendar below).
The next Ballard Bridge closures will be:
- Friday, Oct. 11 evening through Monday, Oct. 14 morning
- Friday, Oct. 18 evening through Monday, Oct. 21 morning
SDOT says in the coming weeks, they will continue work along the east side of 15th Ave NW at NW 54th St, NW 53rd St, and NW 52nd St.
SDOT says lane closures on the Ballard Bridge may begin as early as 7 p.m. on the Fridays, with the bridge fully closed at 10 p.m. The bridge is expected to reopen by approximately 5 a.m. the following Mondays.
