The new Salmonberry Goods grocery store concept is opening tomorrow, Oct. 5.
Salmonberry Goods announced their plan to move into the Green Market space at 6405 32nd Ave NW back in April, turning it into a bakery and grocer.
Co-owners Alex Johnstone and David Rothstein are the founders behind Salmonberry Goods, which opened in 2015 as a farm-to-table bakery. When the pandemic hit and farmers markets closed, they started a website to help people still buy from their local producers through a community-supported agriculture (CSA) model subscription service.
The soft opening will be Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After that, they’ll be open Thursday to Saturday next week, with plans to be open more days per week as they ramp up.
“Getting really excited to be your grocer,” the owners shared on social media, saying “this has been the hardest thing we’ve ever done.”
