Kurfunkle Kids’ Market opens today on Ballard Ave

There’s a new store on Ballard Ave: Kurfunkle Kids’ Market is opening today at 5329 Ballard Ave NW.

Ballard Standard Goods owner Jeffrey Gardner also owns Kurfunkle Kids’ Market, opening in the former Fair Trade Winds space. (Fair Trade moved into a new location just a few doors down at 5323 Ballard Ave NW.)

Store manager Ellen Harrop told My Ballard that they have a grand opening planned for November, but they’re kicking off a soft opening today, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m.

“At Kurfunkle Kids’ Market, we’re all about the joy of childhood…Picture a treasure trove filled with fun toys, stylish clothing, and educational goodies that are sure to spark creativity and imagination for kiddos of all ages (and perhaps a bit of nostalgia for the grown-ups!),” Harrop shared in an email to My Ballard.

“We’re creating a playful haven where families can explore and let their imaginations run wild.”
