Happy Halloween! Tonight’s the big night, with trick-or-treating kicking off this evening in downtown Ballard and a whole neighborhood full of homes that will be handing out candy.
Some of the notable events tonight include:
- Trick-or-treating in downtown Ballard: From 4 to 6 p.m., dozens of downtown Ballard businesses will be handing out candy.
- Trick-or-Treat Train: From 4 to 6 p.m., the Little Beaver train will be parked on the Shilshole train tracks betwen 5303 and 5228 Shilshole Ave NW.
- Operation Candy Drop: (7522 20th Ave NW) Ballardite Brooke Shepard will be parachuting tiny soldiers packed with candy bars to brave trick or treaters. “Inspired by the real-life “Candy Bomber,” U.S. Military pilot Gail Halvorsen, who dropped candy to the children of Berlin after WWII, we’re going to make sure Ballard kids are well supplied. We’ve got 200 soldiers packed and ready for deployment!”
And here’s the map of all the action in Ballard:
Enjoy the festivities!
