There’s a new coffee shop opening soon in downtown Ballard.
It’s called Homage Coffee, and it’s opening in the former Root coffee and plant store at 5000 20th Ave NW.
Root owners Dale and Hannah sold the cafe and closed in October after four years in Ballard. In their announcement, they said the new owners “are very much like us and we believe they will continue to evolve the shop and make it into an even better version for the community.”
Homage Coffee has been operating as a pop-up coffee company for some time. The upcoming Ballard shop appears to be its first brick-and-mortar.
We’ve reached out to Homage to learn more about their plans to open, and we’ll update with any new info.
