Upcoming road closures on NW 56th St for maintenance hole work

Sections of NW 56th St in Ballard will be closed temporarily starting next week so crews can perform maintenance hole work.

The work is part of the Ship Canal Water Quality Project, and will happen on NW 56th St between 28th Ave NW and 24th Ave NW. Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) says the work will require full road closures at two locations, as shown in the map below.

SPU says that during the work, the road will be closed to both directions of traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. They say that all driveway access will be maintained during work hours, and outside of these hours, traffic will return to normal.
