Trader Joe’s is opening its new Greenwood location at 8726 Greenwood Ave this Friday, April 11.
The company announced its plans for the new store in 2024, its sixth location in Seattle. The Greenwood store is the first new Trader Joe’s to open in the city in more than 13 years. To celebrate, Trader Joe’s will hold a ribbon cutting just before the doors open at 9 a.m. on Friday.
The 10,000-square-foot store will feature custom murals by local artist Stevie Shao, as well as signage and artwork created by local crew members.
As part of Trader Joe’s Neighborhood Shares Program, the Greenwood location will donate 100% of its unsold—but still consumable—products to local nonprofits and community-based organizations, seven days a week.
Once open, the Greenwood Trader Joe’s will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
