A new home goods and baby gear store is coming to Ballard this summer: Aldea Home & Baby is opening at 5304 Ballard Ave NW.
Aldea is taking over the former COUCH location, which moved its showroom to Capitol Hill.
Founder Johanna Bialkin opened the first Aldea—which means “small village” in Spanish—in the Mission District of San Francisco in 2005. This will be the third Aldea location—there’s also one in Culver City, CA.
The new shop, which sells eco-friendly nursery pieces, home decor, and family-friendly toys, is holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. with founder Bialkin in attendance.
