Happy Crab Boiling Seafood is opening its new Ballard location today at 6135 Seaview Ave NW, the former site of Anthony’s.
Happy Crab will hold a soft opening on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, from 4 to 10 p.m. Hours for the soft opening will be Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Happy Crab has been preparing for the opening since March, when the owner announced plans to open in Ballard. It also operates a location in Auburn, serving Cajun-inspired seafood including jambalaya and gumbo, along with Chinese options such as “Happy’s Signature Noodles,” offered with a choice of protein and Cajun or Sichuan-style mala broth.
The Seaview Ave building has not had a restaurant tenant since Anthony’s closed in 2016.
