The popular Ballard Brewed Festival is back again for its spring edition.
The first-ever Ballard Brewed happened in December last year, and was such a huge success, they’re doing it again this weekend.
On Saturday, April 13, 11 Ballard breweries will come together for the festival: Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co. Hale’s Ales, Lagunitas Seattle TapRoom & Beer Sanctuary, Lucky Envelope Brewing, Maritime Pacific Brewery, NW Peaks Brewery, Obec Brewing, Peddler Brewing Company, Populuxe Brewing, Reuben’s Brews and Stoup Brewing. Each brewery will bring two beers, one of which will be released for the first time at the festival.
Just like last time, they’ll be donating all proceeds to Bellwether Housing, Seattle’s largest private, nonprofit housing provider.
Because the first festival was so popular, they’re doing things a bit differently this time. There will be two separate sessions: one will be from 2pm to 4pm, and the other, 5pm to 7pm. According to a post in the event page, the organizers, Bellwether Housing, decided on sessions in order to maximize the number of attendees.
There will be live music from Honey Mustard and the Tall Boys, pizza from Big Mario’s, and hot dogs from Chavoya’s.
The 21+ event will be held at Hale’s Ales Palladium (4301 Leary Way NW); tickets are $30 for 11 drink tickets, or $40 if you want to add on a commemorative t-shirt.
