The baseball team at BHS is having their best season in almost two decades.
They’re currently at 13-1 so far this season, which, as varsity bench coach Tim Lee tells My Ballard, means they’re about to have the best season since 2001.
Playoffs are the first week of May, and Lee said it’s likely the team will have the number-one seed in the playoffs.
Lee also tells us that head coach Doug Montgomery just reached his 90th career win as head of the Ballard baseball program.
If you want to keep up on the rest of their season, follow the team on Twitter.
Congratulations and good luck to the Beavers!
Wow, good work guys! Keep it up.
All thanks to Mr. Paul Teilmann I assume.
Ballard High is killing it this year! So happy for those kids.
It has long been known that professional baseball has been a part of US culture for over 150 years and is one of the few games played by most children of all backgrounds. I want you to read the article https://sportsecyclopedia.com/tank/why-is-baseball-so-popular-in-the-usa/ about why baseball is still so popular in the USA. I love that Chicago fans have been loyal to their team since its inception, and it looks like that won’t change soon.
