This Sunday will be the third community planning workshop to look at options for the future of Crown Hill.
The workshop will be June 23rd from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the Parla Apartments (9176 Holman Rd NW). They’ll provide snacks and refreshments during the workshop.
This is the third community planning workshop — the first two involved gathering big-picture ideas for the future of Crown Hill and strategies for getting there.
“At this workshop, we will be digging in deeper to the details, which will help shape policies the guide future development and investments,” the Crown Hill Urban Village website reads.
The main topics for discussion will be:
- Creating a pedestrian-oriented commercial core near 90th and Mary Ave
- Planning for future redevelopment on 15th/Holman way and improving the pedestrian experience
- Strategies and design concepts for implementing low-cost sidewalk alternatives in residential areas
- Priority topics for future Design Guidelines
All are welcome at the workshop. “We hope to engage in a wide range of people with different perspectives, including renters, homeowners, business owners, and youth,” the organizers say.
There will be one more workshop after this, date TBD.
This workshop is being run by the Seattle Office of Planning and Community Development as part of a year long community planning effort for the Crown Hill Urban Village and nearby area.
