Tomorrow (Wednesday, August 21), Conor Byrne will host a fundraising concert to raise money to help save the Ballard P-Patch.
The P-Patch is in major fundraising mode to help the gardeners buy their half-acre plot at 8527 25th Ave NW. The garden, now in its 43rd year, will be sold to developers — unless the volunteers can raise $2 million. So far, they’ve raised $38,335 on their fundraising website.
The musical line-up on Wednesday night will be The High Seagrass, Julia Francis, and Diamondwolf, playing from 8pm to 11pm at Conor Byrne.
Tickets are $8 online or $10 at the door — proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the campaign to save the Ballard P-Patch.

Wait. They want to crowdsource $1.96 million? MILLION? For their widdle gawden??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA #GTFOH
Does anyone know why the church is selling this lot that they own?
For the money.
Why do you go to work every day……………………………………..? For the money?
The term is “investment” pal. Perhaps you have a couple too? Why do people climb mountains? If I want vegetables I go to the store. There are also farmers markets every day too. Are these farmers also arriving in their horse and buggy’s with 8-track players?
The church is a non profit, so “investment”?
I believe the church needs money or renovations/repairs. As I understand it they have been letting the P-Patch use the land for a token payment and have offered them first right of refusal on the sale.
They need the money and the market is hot.
