Food on wheels is the hot trend around town these days. We’ve written about several wagons serving food in Ballard, such as Parfait and Maximus Minimus (shown here on Ballard Ave.)
This Saturday is the Mobile Chowdown 2009 in Interbay (1616 West Bertona.) Marination Mobile, Maximus Minimus, El Camion, Gert’s BBQ, Skillet, Parfait Ice Cream, Kaosamai Thai and Dante’s Inferno Dogs will be “circling the wagons” for a one-day food extravaganza. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. so bring your appetite. Check out their Twitter feed for daily trivia. (Disclosure: Dante’s is a sponsor of MyBallard.)

Hopefully Skillet has their issues resolved by then. I think this is the second time this year.

I adore Skillet.
Looking forward to the chowdown.
Steel Pig FTW!
Sweet!! There's just something about food served from a truck that makes it so much better.
I hope they get there act together, they do have some of the best food in town. They just seem to have a little problem following the rules.
that pig-truck is freakin cool!
No wonder My Ballard is gaining notoriety and credibility in journalism circles. Even in a story such as this they choose to disclose potential conflicts of interest. Nice touch.
they're scheduled to be at north beach elementary saturday.
They always do that. And they get called out for it when they don't.
Astute readers this bunch.
Thank you for this fantastic, breaking news. I will be there— fork, camera, and appetite in high gear. Ballard rules!
