Another mini-apartment block is being planned to replace a small house at 1145 NW 56th St.
According to the plans, the house, built in 1945, would become home to a 4-story apartment building with 25 small efficiency dwelling units (SEDU’s) and three apartments (28 total units). No parking is proposed in the plans.
SDCI will accept written comments to assist in the preparation of the early design guidance through December 18th. Comments may be submitted to PRC@seattle.gov or City of Seattle – SDCI –PRC, 700 5th Avenue, Suite 2000, PO Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019.

LOL, I agree, E2 is a bomb thrower and little more. The city will never be done cramming as many people into our area until they have completed the makeover, and we become SF North. Please tell me differently. This city has already left me. So many others feel the same exact way. I talk to a lot of people.

Significant increases in population require new housing to keep housing affordable. Too much demand without supply drives prices up.

Do you seriously believe Seattle doesn’t need more housing? More housing would bring down the rent and home prices, equalling affordable housing for all the people who work work in the city but have been priced-out of living in the city they work in.
