Tonight (Jan. 29), local nonprofit Groundswell NW will host a celebratory meeting to recognize their community partners and highlight local environmental programs.
The meeting will be held from 6:30pm to 9:30pm tonight at the Phinney Ridge Community Center (6532 Phinney Ave N) in the brick building. It will feature guest speaker Courtney Sullivan from the National Wildlife Federation, who plans to talk about community wildlife programs in Seattle.
“Interested in activating parks in our neighborhood or learning other ways to better steward green space near your home?” the event info reads. “Join us tomorrow night at the Phinney Center to learn how you and other neighbors can make the most of the beautiful nature our community has to offer!”
They’ll serve light refreshments — kids are welcome to join. To learn more or RSVP online, visit their Facebook event page.
