This afternoon, a local park clean-up group will be out cleaning Golden Gardens and will follow it up with a bonfire open to all.
The event is hosted by Park Punks, a nonprofit that organizes park clean-up events around the city. “Let’s hike-clean a local beach and wetland area together, leave it better than we found it, and rest our weary selves around a winter bonfire after,” the group writes in their event info.
They’ll be out cleaning from 2pm to 7pm today, with a bonfire starting at 5pm, weather permitting. BYO roasting sticks for marshmallows, they say.
