To make up for lost revenue during the COVID-19 stay-home order, the National Nordic Museum is holding a fundraiser with a virtual auction.
Since they closed their doors in March, the museum has lost about 70 percent of their revenue each month. Their Auktion 2.0 kicked off on May 31, and will be running through June 6.
Some of the auction items are pretty unique, including a ride in the museum’s Ford Model-T (aka Tin Lizzie) from the Nordic to Golden Gardens for a Viking picnic catered by Freya Cafe.
Another auction item is a Norwegian Kumle dinner for eight guests hosted by Bjørn Ruud, owner of Scandinavian Specialties.
If you’d like to support the Nordic but don’t want to bid, consider giving to their Fund-a-Need donation. “Please bid high, bid often, and help us raise the funds we so very need to help bridge the gap created by our temporary closure due to Covid-19,” the organizers write in the auction event info.
Such fundraising and auction is a must for this museum, and this is one of the many measures that need to be taken to eliminate the consequences of the quarantine measures during Covid. I’m a student and this also affected the quality of my education. Now I’m preparing my thesis using the service that I found on this source, look at more info you can find a suitable option for yourself. I’d like to finish my studies and pass everything properly. And I hope this whole situation will not affect future employment.
