This weekend, a large street festival will take over part of the Ballard Brewery District to raise money for the Ballard Food Bank.
The inaugural Ballard Bites & Brews event is happening Sunday, Aug. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. just next to the food bank on 14th Ave NW between NW 49th and 50th Streets, as well as part of 49th. All proceeds from the event will benefit the food bank.
The festival is 21+ and will feature live music, tastings from 15 Ballard and Fremont breweries/cideries, and food from local restaurants including Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Veraci Pizza, Mainstay Provisions, Frelard Tamales, Plenty of Clouds, Lagana Foods, and Community Loaves.
The music lineup will include The Black Tones, Drea and the Marilyns, Goody Bagg, DJ SummerSoft.
Tickets will include eight drink tickets, food, games and photo ops, and entry to the mainstage music.
“Ballard Food Bank is serving folks from across Seattle who are doing their best to keep food on the dinner table,” Jennifer Muzia, executive director of Ballard Food Bank said in a statement about the event.
“Inflation has hit all of us hard. This new event is an opportunity for our community to come together to help us keep our shelves stocked, while having a good time.”
Tickets are $75 and are available online and at the door the day of the event.
