Volunteers help paint a new mural for Ballard VFW

A group of volunteers helped paint a brand new mural for the side of the Ballard VFW.

The mural painting was part of a Veterans Day event at the VFW. Local artist and veteran Chris Kent designed the mural with the theme “Service with Pride.”

“Our friends at Urban ArtWorks and veteran artist Chris Kent—with the help of post and auxiliary members, community members, scouts, Mayor Harrell and CM Strauss—were able to bring our much anticipated ‘Service with Pride’ mural to life!” Ballard VFW shared on social media. “It was a lovely experience for all participants and certainly fit the intent for the county’s VETS ENGAGED grant.”
