Kiro 7 sent their chopper to the scene of a car accident at 2031 NW 64th St. this evening. They reported that a truck was on its side and flipped upright just about 5 p.m. Pictures from Chopper 7 show it was a black or dark colored truck. More than a dozen fire units were dispatched to a “heavy rescue” just before 4:45 this afternoon. When crews arrived on scene they sent all but a handful home. The fire crews asked for one ambulance.

Wow! Thanks for the fast reporting!
Saw the chopper from top banana as I helped a woman to her car with her final bags of produce, trees here we come! Huzzah!
Woman had been drinking. No license. Not her car. She hit two vehicles and rolled her car to the side. I'm the lucky recipient of one of the smashed cars. Just glad my family was not in it.
I stopped at Top Banana before coming home. I actually past it and went back to it while on my way home (4:40).
If not for Top Banana having the nearly half off sale I would have been parking on 64th street about the time of this scene.
Nobody injured except the drunk driver and not badly hurt. The firemen actually had her standing up next to the truck after extracting her via the opposite upright window.
Gotta go buy a lottery ticket.
That's pretty much a textbook definition of a dumbass.
My Ballard needs a helicopter.
We have a helicopter—SPG where are you?? Calling SPG. Come in, SPG.
true dat.
Stupid copter hung right over my house for 15 minutes. What, do they think we like that thing? How long can it take to get that story? Did they come from the tavern right around the corner perhaps?
That's pretty much a textbook definition of an AAlcoholic. Hopefully the “blue light special” will save her ass eventually.
I'm sorry that happened to you. I was hit by a drunk driver once too and every time I hear something like this it makes my blood boil again. I'm glad your family wasn't in the car too! I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. It seems like the drunk drivers are almost never the ones seriously hurt and the people they hit are – so I'm glad to hear that wasn't the case this time.
Uh, yeah, I've been meaning to mention this…Whoever took the heli out on Monday morning for a long hover over the hood at 6:30 (too early unless you're going heli skiing) didn't fill it up and left donut crumbs in the seat. Really people! I leave the keys on the back tire so that people can use it, but the deal is you have to fill it up when done…not just a couple bucks, but fill the tank or at least back to where it was. I don't even mind people eating or drinking while flying around, I do it all the time, but take your trash with you and don't leave a mess please. If this keeps up I'm going to have to rethink this whole open helicopter policy.
Any photos?
