The Wells Fargo bank at 1819 NW Market St. was robbed around 3:15 p.m. today, Detective Mark Jamieson with the Seattle Police Department tells us. He says that he doesn’t have specific information on the incident but does have a suspect description. Police are looking for a white male in his 40’s about 5’5″ tall with a medium build and brown scruffy facial hair. The FBI has been notified, as is the case with any bank robbery. Officers are in the area and following leads. (Thanks Silver for the tip and posting in the forum.)

How scary for the people there. My thoughts are with the employees and any customers inside. The employees there are always so nice and helpful.
I hope they nab the robber.

Creepy. I was there two hours earlier than when it happened. Creepy.

Same guy that robbed Frontier bank last month? There's a very similar description…

There used to be a photo of the guy, but it's not with that link anymore. Can anyone else find it?
Its not the same robber as Frontier Bank. An arrest was made in that robbery.
kqx – I think this is the link you're referring to:

That's the one :) Thanks, Geeky!
A friend of mine is a bank manager at one of the Ballard banks and he said that bank robberies occur much more often than one would think – we just rarely hear about them. All of the banks in the area have been hit at one time or another. In most cases, no one realizes the bank has been robbed until the teller reports it – the robber passes the teller a note, money is exchanged, it's over. He said that the type of stick-'em-up bank robberies we're used to seeing in the movies is pretty uncommon.
Yup, that's the impression I get too.
Did the bank release a photo?
