The recently reopened Canal is now hosting weekly Ballard Evening Markets.
The Canal reopened under new ownership in June. Owners Paul and Stephanie Staley told My Ballard they wanted to turn it into a community hub; the new weekly market is part of that effort.
The Thursday markets are every week from 2 p.m to 7 p.m. Paul Staley tells My Ballard that he wants to “grow it into something special for the neighborhood.”
Around 20 vendors are now selling every Thursday with a combination of food and crafts from local makers.
The market is held in the parking lot of The Canal at 5300 34th Ave NW.
