The Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival is here! Join your Ballard neighbors on September 30th from 11am-4pm at Loyal Heights Community Center for creativity, passion and community-building while learning about daily practices to give MORE LIFE to ourselves and our planet by taking green steps toward more sustainable living.
Family-friendly, fun, FREE, and full of surprises! Visit local sustainable businesses and non-profits, catch some live music: Seattle Drum School’s Reign City Rockers at 11:30am, Skandia Kapell at 12:45 and Asher Deaver of Old Coast at 2:15pm. Enjoy refreshments from local food trucks Pie Bar & Blackstar Kebabs. We’ll have lots of new activities plus some old favorites. Attend workshops, on pollinator friendly gardening and sustainable bee keeping and cooking demo from Firefly Kitchens. Play games, try some DIY projects like pressing apples for cidar, enjoy some free samples and learn new ways to lower your carbon footprint! The Sustainable Ballard Festival is a fantastically fun opportunity to learn together, get inspired, and discover new ways to live more lightly on the earth.
