The 46th annual Julefest event is returning to the National Nordic Museum this weekend in Ballard.
Julefest is an outdoor holiday event in the National Nordic Museum’s parking lot behind the museum. It’s happening all day Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
There will be a large Nordic Swan for photo opportunities, the Julefest Pavilion, a Christmas Marketplace with crafts from over 40 local artists, and Nordic Eats serving traditional Nordic holiday fare.
Live music will play throughout the day; here’s the schedule:
Saturday, Nov. 18
- 10:30 am – 11:20 am — Norwegian Ladies Chorus
- 11:30 am – 12:20 pm — The Winter Band
- 12:30 pm – 1:20 pm — TinnFelen
- 1:30 pm – 2:20 pm — Sølje Sisters
- 2:30 pm – 3:20 pm —Seattle Skandia Spelmanslag
- 3:30 pm – 4:10 pm —Finnish Choral Society/Swedish Singers
- 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm — Allspice
Sunday, Nov. 19

Back this year is the Julefest After Dark event at Skål Beer Hall (5429 Ballard Avenue) starting at 5 p.m. If you have a Julefest ticket, you’ll get a free pretzel with your purchase.
Keep in mind that 28th Ave NW on the west side of the building will be closed on both ends for the event.
Tickets are available online for $10 (free for museum members).
