Ballard is about to gain a new yoga studio: It’s called Flood Yoga, located at 2108 NW Vernon Place.
Flood Yoga owner Kate Holter says yoga has been a huge part of her life for over two decades. She’s been planning to open a yoga studio for some time, but said in a social media announcement that she’s taking “a leap of faith a few years earlier than originally planned.”
Flood Yoga will be both a yoga studio and a retail space with a “focus on community connection (events and workshops), alongside some handcrafted gifts of mine and curated goods from other women-owned businesses,” Holter wrote.
She added: “Our yoga practice provides an intimate & deeply intentional place to find stillness and gentle flows: inclusive, spiritual, healing, and a safe space for all bodies and humans, all provided by a diverse collective of instructors & myself.”
Flood Yoga has opened its retail space: Its hours are Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
