The Burke-Gilman Trail will be temporarily rerouted for the next few weeks as part of the Ship Canal Water Quality project construction.
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) says the trail reroute is between 9th and 11th Avenues NW and between the U.S. Post Office building and Ballard Fred Meyer store. SPU has rerouted the trail to the newly paved NW 45th St roadway for several weeks.
Then, the trail will be moved to its original location along the south side of NW 45th St to allow for site restoration work, SPU says. They say flaggers will be on site during construction working hours (Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
SPU says the trail should be relocated back to its original location by mid-August.
