The project to construct a 3-story pickleball facility in Interbay is still making progress, with a design review meeting set early September.
The project plans indicate there will be parking for 53 vehicles, and all existing buildings will be demolished at 3435 15th Ave W. The location was once home to a Brown Bear Car Wash, but that’s now being used on a short-term basis as a Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) tiny house village.
Construction for the pickleball facility—being called Pickle at the Palms—isn’t due to start until next year, so the tiny house village will be unaffected until construction starts.
The design packet shows three concepts for the facility, all of which have rooftop courts in the designs.
The design review meeting is scheduled for Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. The meeting is open to the public—you can call in at 206-207-1700 using access code 2492 140 8488, or follow this link.
The owner is listed as Pickle at the Palms LLC and the architect is AXIS | GFA Architecture + Design.
