There’s a new El Camion food truck in Ballard, open just down the street from their old restaurant location on the corner of 15th and 65th.
The new El Camion truck is parked at 6310 15th Ave NW. Owner Scott McGinnis told My Ballard that they’re still working on the site, but they’re open and “love being back in Ballard. We are home!” McGinnis said in an email.

El Camion has had a storied past in Ballard. After opening several popular food trucks around Seattle, El Camion opened a brick-and-mortar at the corner of 15th and 65th. The restaurant was open for six years before it closed in 2019 to make way for a new development.
El Camion then opened inside Hale’s Ales kitchen for a short stint before leaving in 2020.
El Camion’s food trucks kept on operating around the city in North Seattle, Sand Point, and Roosevelt, and now—as of early October—it’s back in Ballard.
The Ballard truck’s hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. every day.
