This week there will be a public menorah lighting in honor of Chanukah.
The celebration is on Thursday, December 26 at 5 p.m. at Bergen Place Park (5450 22nd Ave NW) and is hosted by the Chabad of NW Seattle.
The celebration will include latkes, donuts, music, a gelt drop, and a balloon twister. The first 25 people to attend will receive some Chanukah swag, Yoni Levitin from the Chabad of NW Seattle said.
The menorah lighting in Ballard is one of several of the Chabad’s events for Chanukah. They’re also hosting an event called the Greenwood Chanukah Village on Dec. 29 and Chanukah at the Kraken on Dec. 30.
Levitin asked that people RSVP online for the menorah lighting in Ballard.
