There’s a new Planet Fitness now open Ballard at 1500 NW Market St Ste 100.
The Ballard Planet Fitness is 16,395 square feet and has strength equipment, 51 cardio machines, a HIIT area, mobility and stretching space, and HydroMassage Loungers and massage chairs for the “Black Card” members.
They’re hosting an open house on Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with free workouts, giveaways, and prizes.
Planet Fitness is in the former Bartell Drugs, which closed in June 2023. The closure happened in the wake of Rite Aid’s purchase of the Bartell Drugs chain in 2020. Rite Aid closed dozens of Bartell Drugs locations around the Puget Sound—they shuttered the University Village store not long after they closed the 1500 NW Market St store.
Planet Fitness has been renovating the Ballard space since last summer, which is the fitness chain’s 16th location in Seattle.
