With summer just around the corner, Seattle Parks & Recreation is teaming up with the American Red Cross for the 17th Annual “April Pool’s Day.”
On Saturday, April 17th, the Parks Department will host a free event from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Ballard Pool (1471 NW 67th St). There will be activities for adults and kids to learn water safety tips. According to a press release sent out by the Parks Department, “Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to learn hands-on water safety in and out of the water. Activities may include practicing wearing and using lifejackets, learning about hypothermia, taking a boat ride, practicing reaching and throwing rescues, and learning about CPR. Participants can enter a drawing for a free Mustang lifejacket and other prizes.”
